研究テーマResearch Interests
(1) Can we use body-focused stress management techniques to lower anxiety and increase self-efficacy when we communicate in English? (2) How do working memory, cognitive control, and second language acquisition interact? Can basic research in cognitive science like psycholinguistics and emotion be applied to learning processes and teacher education? (3) Do we gain self-efficacy for “global competency” when we engage in experiential and intercultural learning experiences like cross-cultural simulations, study abroad, and negotiation training? How about for one’s beliefs about their L2 listening and speaking skills? (4) Are there “positive” elements of youth development that relate to our personality and identity formation, and can they predict factors like our current levels of creativity, language ability, or well-being? (5) What factors of our well-being are impacted by the influences of technology on society, such as social media?
